Monogrammed antique French linen towels

A pair of fabulous large red striped linen towels, I believe end of the 19th Century. The linen is lovely thick and firm quality. Seams are of course hand stitched. Both linen towels are in fabulous condition, no discolouration. If your monogram doesn't happen to be L R, then it will be easy to remove the cross stitched monogram. I have three pairs available.

Pair of Antique French Linen Towels, monogrammed

These 19th Century linen towels are quite fabulous. They are a fairly coarse weave and in all likelihood homespun and hand loomed. I don't think they have been used much, if at all, they still have that beautiful cafe au lait colour of linen. As you can see from the last photograph, linen does get lighter. The more often you wash it, the lighter it gets.

The towels are monogrammed in red cross stitch, Y L, but if that doesn't suit you, then the monogram can be removed quite easily.

Monogrammed Antique French Linen Towels

A pair of rather lovely antique French metis towels, monogrammed L C in red cross stitch, of course with those all important and sought after red stripes. If the monogram is not the right one for you, then it can be quite easily removed and replaced with your own. The fabric has mellowed to a beautiful soft white. Condition is excellent, no discolouration.

Adorable 19th Century French angel/cherub medal, approx 2.5cm across. The reverse is oh so pretty as well -

Antique French Madonna medal

You can tell from the above photo that this is a small but perfectly formed medal. The blue glass is such a beautiful colour. On one side it shows the head of the Madonna -



and this is the reverse -

The detail in such a tiny thing is quite amazing.

Vintage French Chocolate Box

Gorgeous vintage Fagot chocolate box, covered in a beautiful floral fabric, sweetly pleated on both the box and the lid. It measures approx. 17cm across the top and approx. 8cm high. The last photo shows a tiny area of wear on the lid.

Fine vintage rosary from Lourdes - SOLD

This is a beautiful vintage rosary from Lourdes. The silver metal bound cross is quite heavy and of lovely quality and the rosary itself has beautiful carved station beads. It is engraved Lourdes on the back.

French Pharmacie parcel carry handles

These versatile vintage parcel carry handles are becoming increasingly difficult to find. I went to many vide greniers during the summer, but only found these 2. They are rather special though, they are from a French Pharmacie rather than a clothing shop or a department store.

La Tour Eiffel Paris Souvenir

If you can't make it to Paris yourself, then having a pretty little vintage souvenir from Paris is the next best thing. The Eiffel Tower is probably one of the most desired French souvenirs, so I am delighted to have found this fabulous old La Tour Eiffel souvenir. Originally it was meant to be used as an ashtray, but today it could just as well be a sweet little ring tray on your dressing table ( or a little ornament wherever you feel like sighing and dreaming of France, lol ).

Quite heavy silver coloured metal, approx. 14.5cm by 10cm.

1930s lingerie lace applique PINK

I was thrilled to bits when I found these gorgeous 1930s lace appliques at a French vide greniers this summer. They are the most delicate shell pink and measure approx. 26cm long, just over 10 inches, which makes them so suitable for embellishing precious little pillows, sachets, bags and a whole host of other things which my lovely followers suggested on my Lalaland blog.

Very rare French Scaferlati tin, PINK! - SOLD

Hard as I tried, I could not find another PINK Scaferlati tin anywhere on the internet, and the few other Scaferlati tins from approx. the same era in a different design were few and far between and expensive.


The tin is approx 12.5cm long, 9cm wide and nearly 4cm deep, and for its age in pretty good vintage condition. Totally adorable.
